In 2023, the Hong Kong Kickboxing Association officially changed its name to "Hong Kong, China Kickboxing Association", and the English abbreviation will be changed from HKKA to HKCKA.
The Hong Kong, China Kickboxing Association was established in 2007 and restructured in 2020 to devote more resources to promote Kickboxing in Hong Kong.
The Hong Kong, China Kickboxing Association is a member of the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO) and WAKO Asia, it is also the only representative of Hong Kong. Kickboxing has been recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) as one of the competition events of the Asian Indoor Games.
Aims and Objectives
Integrate various combat sports, develop and progress together through competition and cooperation, making all kinds of combat sports can be developed harmoniously. We are determined to support young athletes to win glory for Hong Kong.
The Hong Kong, China Kickboxing Association will take the responsibility of promoting and popularizing kickboxing. There are competitions in Hong Kong every month on our fixed competition platform, allowing members to participate in the play. We also organize, co-organize and supervise amateur and professional Kickboxing competitions in Hong Kong, and provide professional courses for coaches, judges and referees to ensure that every game can be played in a fair, just and open manner. At the same time, we will also advance to the China’s Greater Bay Area to organize competitions and promoting Kickboxing.
Future Development
We will host a number of large-scale competitions, such as "Hong Kong Kickboxing Championship", "Hong Kong Kickboxing Newcomer", "Youth Kickboxing Championship", "Greater Bay Area Kickboxing Championship", "Cross-Strait Kickboxing Championship"... And so on, it can allow athletes who are interested in combat sports to add international competition experience and improve their personal skills, which will help athletes prepare for future large-scale international competitions. The promotion of these events and media reports will attract more young people to learn about and participate in kick boxing, making the development of Kickboxing in Hong Kong more popular and healthier.
